Noor — Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Noor Islamic Prayer and Quran app ("Noor", "the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About Noor

Noor is an Islamic companion app providing prayer times, Quran reading, Qibla direction, dhikr, and related features. It is developed and maintained by Qamar Shah ("I", "me", "the developer"), an independent developer based in Saudi Arabia.

2. Licence to Use

I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Noor on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
• Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose
• Sell, rent, or sublicense the App to any third party

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Noor offers optional premium subscriptions ("Noor Premium") that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store. The following terms apply:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID account settings
• No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except where required by applicable law
• Prices may change with reasonable notice

4. Content and Accuracy

Noor provides Islamic content including prayer times, Quran text, and transliterations. While I strive for accuracy:

• Prayer times are calculated algorithmically and may vary slightly from local mosque announcements
• Quran text is sourced from reputable, established Islamic sources
• The App is not a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarly guidance
• I make no warranty that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted

5. Privacy

Your privacy matters. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data. In summary, Noor collects only the location data necessary to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within Noor are the intellectual property of Qamar Shah unless otherwise stated. The Quran text displayed in the App is sourced from publicly available, open-licence Islamic resources. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution of any part of the App is prohibited.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Noor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim all warranties including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Noor — including but not limited to loss of data, missed prayers due to incorrect times, or device damage.

9. Third-Party Services

Noor uses the following third-party services which have their own terms and privacy policies:

• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Expo / React Native — app framework

I am not responsible for the practices of any third-party services integrated into the App.

10. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Saudi Arabia.
